Jonathan Cluett, MD, Suk Namkoong, MD, and James R. Whittum, MD, are joining Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
Here's what you need to know.
1. The three physicians practiced together at Orthopedic Associates of Northern Berkshire in North Adams, Mass. They will now work with Matthew Nofziger, MD, who practices out of the Bennington office.
2. The four physicians subspecialize in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, arthritis care and joint replacement, among other subspecialties.
3. CEO of Southwestern Vermont Health Care Thomas Dee lauded the hires saying, "Growing out health system's orthopedic group has been a top-priority, and the addition of these three talented physicians increases access and availability for our patients in our regional communities."
4. The medical system is recruiting more physicians to the practice.
5. The Bennington office is also in the midst of a renovation. It'll feature improved patient rooms, a new waiting area and an upgraded procedure room.
