Two St. Louis-based orthopedic practices are merging, according to St. Louis Business Journal.

1. Orthopedic Associates and Metropolitan Orthopedics have decided to merge into an independently owned practice.
2. The merger is effective Jan. 1, 2017.
3. Orthopedic Associates offers spine; shoulder; hand, wrist and elbow; hip; knee; as well as foot and ankle services.
4. Metropolitan Orthopedics' physicians provide total joint replacements; sports medicine; shoulder; knee; hand and elbow; as well as hip services.
