NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville expanded its orthopedic services through collaboration with the Columbia University Medical Center in New York City.

Here are five points:

 

1. Physicians at the Columbia University Medical Center are now treating patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.

 

2. Through the collaboration, NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital now offers patients hip and knee reconstruction, sports medicine, foot and ankle, elbow, shoulder, spine and trauma specialists.

 

3. Jeffery A. Geller, MD, will lead the efforts as chief of orthopedic surgery. He also serves as chief director of research in the division of hip and knee reconstruction at Columbia University Medical Center.

 

4. Currently, the NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital is equipped with a joint replacement program and extensive outpatient physical therapy services.

 

5. President of NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital Michael Fosina said, "Our patients will have access to a wider array of orthopedic services using the most advanced surgical and non-operative techniques."
