Since adding spine in January, Physician Partners of America has seen such demand for procedures that James St. Louis, DO, will add Saturday office hours beginning March 3.
Here are five things to know.
1. Dr. St. Louis joined PPOA in January and has already performed 50 outpatient spine procedures. Throughout his career, Dr. St. Louis has performed thousands of outpatient spine surgeries; he is a founder of Laser Spine Institute.
2. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. St. Louis focuses on minimally invasive surgical techniques for patients with degenerative disc disease, spinal and foraminal stenosis, sciatica and disc herniation.
3. The Saturday office hours will give more patients the opportunity to undergo minimally invasive spine procedures, according to PPOA president and COO Tracie Lawson: "It will provide convenience for patients whose schedules might not allow weekday appointments."
4. Dr. St. Louis practices out of a Tampa-based PPOA location, next door to the group's Habana Ambulatory Surgery Center. PPOA covers pain management and orthopedics in addition to spinal procedures.
