Jacksonville-based Mayo Clinic Florida applied to develop a $50 million addition to its Mayo South Building in San Pablo, Fla., and to expand its Jacksonville campus, according to the Daily Record.
Here are five points:
1. The 80,000 square-feet addition and 40,000 square feet renovation is set to complete in 2019. It will include an expanded spine center and pain rehabilitation programs.
2. Mayo Clinic received a $25 million donation from Dan and Brenda Davis to support the expansion. Over the next five years, the hospital expects to add more than 100 physicians to its staff.
3. Along with the $50 million addition, Mayo Clinic plans to invest $70.5 million to add four floors to its Mayo South Building.
4. Mayo Clinic has invested more than $300 million in major projects since last reported in March 2017.
5. Currently, Mayo Clinic is developing the Dorothy J. and Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Building, a positron emission tomography radiochemistry facility and the Discovery and Innovation Building.
