Walmart selects University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center to provide joint replacement surgery, orthopedic care for employees

Practice Management

Walmart identified University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center as its newest Center of Excellence to provide joint replacement surgery and orthopedic care for the retailer's employees and their families.

Being a Center of Excellence, UH Cleveland Medical Center will serve as a surgical care site for Walmart's eligible health plan members. Hospitals must demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care with an eye towards patient experience to be selected as Centers of Excellence.

Eligible Walmart employees who receive joint replacement surgery services at UH Cleveland Medical Center will receive full coverage of all procedure costs, along with travel, lodging and an expense allowance for both patient and caregiver.

UH Cleveland Medical Center also serves as a joint replacement Center of Excellence for General Electric. The medical center's addition into Walmart's Centers of Excellence brings the retail giant's total to 11 centers.
