Overland Park, Kan.-based St. Luke's Health System received a $25 million donation, according to The Kansas City Star.

1. The Marion and Henry Bloch Family Foundation gifted the money.
2. St. Luke's will use the donation to expand its spine care services and create a new rehabilitation center.
3. St. Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute Surgical Director Cheerag Upadhyaya, MD, told The Kansas City Star, the $25 million will help create a spine center of excellence.
4. The expanded spine offering will boost clinical care services and enhance the health system's research opportunities.
5. The new rehab center will house robotic technology to assist patients recovering from spinal injuries.
