Chicago-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute established its new philanthropic arm IBJI CARES.
Here are four things to know:
1. The IBJI Compassionate Allied Rehabilitation Enabling Society is a registered nonprofit.
2. IBJI CARES will raise funds for causes that benefit the health of the Chicagoland and global community. The group will also partner with other charitable groups on impact projects in progress.
3. The charity partnered with Crutches4Kids to host a drive for gently-used crutches, walkers and canes that will be donated to needy children in Haiti.
4. IBJI employs more than 100 physicians.
