New York hospital invests $2M in imaging system for spine, brain — 4 things to know

Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., invested $2 million in a 3 Tesla MRI system for the spine, brain and prostate, reports Times Union.

Four things to know:

1. The 3 Tesla MRI provides high-quality images, which is crucial in viewing minute areas such as lesions in the brain, small joints and the prostate.

2. The hospital recently invested $2 million to expand its robotic surgery services and $6 million to broaden cancer care.

3. The American College of Radiology also declared Saratoga Hospital a diagnostic imaging center of excellence.

4. The hospital aims to better serve patients of Saratoga with neurological, joint and prostate conditions.
