Bradley, Ill.-based Oak Orthopedics joined Des Plaines-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute as of March 2.
Three things to know:
1. Oak Orthopedics will be the southernmost division of IBJI and will continue providing care for Kankakee, Will and Iroquois counties in Illinois.
2. IBJI will extend the resources it has through its large network of physicians, rehabilitation services and imaging services to Oak Orthopedics physicians and patients. IBJI has more than 100 physicians and is among the largest orthopedic groups in the state.
3. Oak Orthopedics was founded in 1945 and is a physician-run facility with six locations, including a surgical center.
