St. Louis-based Orthopedic Associates resumed performing scheduled, nonemergency orthopedic procedures at the Des Peres (Mo.) Square Surgery Center.
What you should know:
1. The city halted such procedures to conserve personal protective equipment.
2. In addition to the procedures, Orthopedic Associates will continue to provide in-office care and telemedicine wherever appropriate.
3. Orthopedic Associates rolled out a series of protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including screening patients before scheduling their procedure and before performing the procedure.
