Lewiston-based Central Maine Healthcare is seeking state approval for a $14.2 million ASC that will provide orthopedic surgery in Topsham, Bangor Daily News reports.
CMH expects the ASC to significantly boost the system’s revenue.
Within two years of opening, the facility is projected to increase hospital outpatient surgeries by 11 percent.
The 20,000-square-foot facility will feature two ORs and four procedure rooms. Sixteen staff will be hired to start.
CMH aims to open the facility at the end of 2021.
