Workers are expected to break ground this month on a $35 million orthopedic spine hospital in Bossier City, La., ABC affiliate KTBS reports.
The Spine Center of Excellence will feature an ASC; an imaging center with MRI, CT, X-ray and other spinal imaging; and a medical office building for spine specialists.
The facility will be built on a 13.7-acre lot. In 2018, the city sold the land to Dapper Holdings, a company representing the hospital.
A number of spine surgeons are involved in the project, according to KTBS, including Pierce Nunley, MD, director of the Spine Institute of Louisiana in Shreveport.
The project is expected to bring 100 jobs to the community.
