Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay (Fla.) is building a 37,000-square-foot complex in Lithia, Fla., which will serve as its new headquarters, the Osprey Observer reports.
The 10-surgeon practice expects to have 50 to 75 staff — with the capacity to add more — at the complex, which will include an ASC, medical offices, a conference center and serve as a hub for its administrative operations.
Jupiter, Fla.-based Surgical Development Systems is working with Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay to develop the 12,000-square-foot ASC, according to the report.
The surgery center will have four operating rooms and surgical robots, and will perform sports-related surgeries, total joint replacements and general orthopedic procedures.
On-site specialists will comprise physicians in orthopedics, podiatry and ophthalmology.
The project, led by newly appointed CEO Scott Goldsmith, MD, is expected to be open by the end of the year.
