Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is building an $85 million orthopedic hospital and sports medicine center, according to a July 8 news release.
The 185,000-square-foot facility in Springdale, Ark., will be the orthopedic home for all Arkansas Razorback athletes, located across the street from Arkansas Children's Northwest.
The facility will feature up to 12 operating rooms and offer specialty clinics including sports performance, physical therapy, orthopedic and imaging, among other services.
The health system recently purchased a 4-mile stretch of land to house the facility for $13.6 million, the release said.
