Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., is bolstering spine and orthopedic services through a partnership with Mid-America Orthopedics, local news outlet KCTV5 reported Aug. 18.
Physicians at the Wichita, Kan.-based group will provide in-office procedures and onsite surgeries at the hospital.
Services will include outpatient joint replacements, both from a robotic-assisted and traditional perspective, including surgeries of the knee, hip and shoulder.
Providence Medical Center recently installed the Cori robot, Smith+Nephew's hand-held system that uses artificial intelligence to assist surgeons with knee replacements.
Mid-America Orthopedics surgeons who will be seeing patients at the hospital are: Everett Wilkinson, DO, Christopher Eckland, DO, and Michael Dempewolf, DO.
