Becker's reported on two orthopedic centers opening in September with hefty price tags.
Here's what to know about the centers:
Adena Health System
1. Chillicothe, Ohio-based Adena Health System opened the Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute Sept. 1. Adena hired five physicians who will practice at the center.
2. The center is a $70 million project that houses the Adena Spine Center and orthopedic program.
3. The facility is 111,000-square feet and has 80 clinical exam rooms.
The Center for Advanced Ambulatory Surgery
4. The Center for Advanced Ambulatory Surgery in Malta, N.Y., is a $19.1 million facility that opened Sept. 8.
5. It's the result of a partnership between Albany, N.Y.-based Bone & Joint Center, the Albany (N.Y.) Med health system and Saratoga (N.Y.) Hospital.
6. It has eight preoperative bays, six surgical suites and eight postoperative bays and six discharge rooms. It's also equipped with two surgical robots.
