- He has practiced surgery in the Minneapolis area for 25 years.
- Dr. O'Neill has served on the board of directors for Twin Cities Orthopedics since 2009.
- He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins.
- Dr. O'Neill earned his medical degree from Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Mayo Clinic.
