Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth and Orlando Neurosurgery are working on a new affiliation agreement ahead of the opening of the health system's $100 million Innovation Tower this year, according to the Orlando Business Journal.
Orlando Neurosurgery, which has 15 physicians and more than 75 staff, will remain an independent practice and lease a space in the 12-story orthopedics and neuroscience tower, which will also house Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute.
The 12-story, 300,000-square-foot facility, which will feature AdventHealth's neuroscience institute and brain health program, will focus on outpatient care and research for conditions including spinal disease, stroke, brain tumors and Parkinson's Disease.
Orlando Neurosurgery is moving its flagship office from Winter Park, Fla., to the new facility and plans to add more outpatient locations and neurosurgery services at AdventHealth hospitals, according to the report.
The tower is expected to open in late 2022.
