Mayfield Brain and Spine Center plans to build a new facility with an ASC in Springboro, Ohio, according to a July 12 Journal-News report.

The group recently purchased 4.25 acres of undeveloped land, where they are seeking approval to build a new medical center.

The center purchased the land for $233,750, or $55,000 an acre.

The proposed building is around 16,147 square feet and will include a surgery center. Preliminary plans for the site go before the city's planning commission July 13.

Mayfield Brain and Spine Center, based in Cincinnati, cares for patients from 14 different hospitals in the region.

Mayfield has specialized care in five different areas: spine health, brain tumors, neurovascular, Chiari malformation and neurofunctional disorders.
