Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth AdventHealth and Philadelphia-based Rothman opened an office in Winter Garden, Fla. that sees about 80 to 100 patients daily, the Orange Observer reported Oct. 21.
Nine physicians work out of the location, which opened Sept. 26, the report said. The space has the capacity to see 140 to 150 patients per day and has 12 patient exam rooms.
The location plans to grow, and a 2,500-square-foot physical therapy area is slated to open Nov. 7.
Daryl Osbahr, MD, managing director and chief of orthopedics at Rothman Orthopaedics' Florida locations told the Orange Observer that the Winter Garden location is expected to fill a gap in healthcare access.
"I used to see patients in the Winter Garden area, and I saw the lack of resources in the area, but our partners at AdventHealth have made such a difference in getting that specialized health care close to home," Dr. Osbahr said in the report. "Our goal at every Rothman site is for the community to have access to every subspecialty."
