Hudson, Fla.-based Bonati Spine Institute can resume surgeries after its surgery center was shut down in March, ABC affiliate WFTS reported July 12.
The practice reached an agreement with the state which includes a correction plan and a $50,000 fine, the report said. The state agreed to lift its suspension and won't seek to revoke the center's license.
Bonati Spine Institute was initially under investigation after Florida healthcare regulators alleged that a "certified surgical technologist" was performing procedures despite not being a licensed physician.
