Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists was hit with a data breach, JD Supra reported Sept. 7.
The practice learned it suffered a cyberattack March 5, secured its network and launched an investigation. An unauthorized party was found to have gained access to computer systems between Feb. 3 and March 5, and some of the data was removed, the investigation found.
Affected data included Social Security number, medical information, health insurance information, username and password, financial account information and driver's license numbers.
The practice issued a notice to patients Sept. 1.
