Orthopedic Care Partners affiliated with George Paletta, MD, and Steven Stahle, MD, and announced the formation of the Performance Sports Medicine Institute in Kirkwood, Mo., according to an Oct. 19 news release.
Dr. Paletta is a sports medicine surgeon and the head orthopedic surgeon for the St. Louis Cardinals. Dr. Stahle is joining the Performance Sports Medicine Institute after 20 years as the sole physician at US Center for Sports Medicine Kirkwood Diagnostics in St. Louis.
Dr. Stahle is the first pysician in St. Louis to use the FAST procedure for serious soft tissue tendon injuries and is an expert in platelet rich plasma and biologics to treat soft tissue injuries and arthritic conditions.
