Central Ohio Primary Care, OrthoAlliance partner to expand orthopedic access

Practice Management

Westerville-based Central Ohio Primary Care and orthopedic management organization OrthoAlliance have entered into a value-based partnership to bring orthopedic care to Central Ohio.

The companies are partnering to address rising healthcare costs and pilot a value-based approach for managing orthopedic care patients, according to an Oct. 23 news release sent to Becker's.

COPC's providers and OrthoAlliance's specialists will work together to develop care pathways for co-management of orthopedic conditions. COPC and OrthoAlliance also will collaborate on optimizing patient care and achieving key outcome measures while striving to reduce waste and variation, leading to a reduction in orthopedic episode costs, the release said.

The alignment will be designed to allow COPC primary care providers to coordinate with partnered orthopedic specialists, implementing comprehensive medical solutions for patients.
