Texas Specialist Center opened a walk-in, outpatient orthopedic care facility in Lufkin.
Here are four notes:
1. It will serve adults and children with minor to serious orthopedic injuries.
2. The board-certified specialists at the clinic will treat conditions including dislocations, fractures, sprains, strains and tears.
3. A visit to the emergency room for an orthopedic procedure typically costs $2,100, according to recent research. The equivalent visit at DOC costs $504.34.
4. DOC is the only walk-in, outpatient urgent orthopedic care facility in the area.
