The American Medical Association has introduced eight new modules as part of its STEPS Forward collection of physician-developed interactive educational modules.
Here are five points:
1. The modules offer guidance on topics that include practicing value-based care, medical assistant professional development, care transition teams, patient registration, quality improvement and point of care registries.
2. Launched in June 2015 by the AMA, STEPS Forward offers a free series of 35 educational modules.
3. Continuing medical education credit can be earned from each module.
4. Additionally, the AMA has created a set of online resources to support physician preparations for new Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act rules and regulations.
5. The MACRA resources include a guide to physician-focused payment models as well as key points of MIPS.
