athenahealth introduced athenaInsight, a reporting hub on American healthcare.
Here are five notes:
1. athenaInsight will offer insight into industry trends and activities of more than 80,000 healthcare providers and 81 million de-identified patients on the athenahealth network.
2. The content will feature habits of high-performing health systems, solid physician leadership styles and public health updates.
3. athenaInsight will specifically zone in on opioid prescribing trends, shedding light on the factors contributing to the opioid crisis.
4. Further committing to curbing opioid abuse, athenahealth is also partnering with the CDC to unveil the Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain.
5. The guideline includes an interactive, patient-specific tool intended for use in 90 seconds at the point-of-care.
