Healthgrades honored New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery for its high-quality care in spine surgery and hip replacement.

1. HSS received a five-star quality rating from Healthgrades for total hip replacement, back and neck surgery as well as spinal fusion surgery.
2. Healthgrades also ranked HSS among "America's 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery," for the third consecutive year.
3. Healthgrades analyzes hospitals based on 34 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.
4. A five-start rating reflects HSS' statistically significantly better clinical outcomes for the evaluated procedure.
5. HSS also received the following honors:
• Healthgrades Joint Replacement Excellence Award for third consecutive year
• Healthgrades Spine Surgery Excellence Award for third consecutive year
