Deitrick L. Cox, MD, has joined OrthoAtlanta and will provide physiatric care.
Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Cox treats patients with precision-based treatments such as fluoroscopic-guided interventional spinal injections and also performs ultrasound-guided peripheral joint injections.
2. Previously, Dr. Cox had his own company for providing procedure-based physiatric and pain management procedures and services to Atlanta-area orthopedic, physical medicine and pain management practices.
3. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the National Medical Association and the North American Spine Society.
4. Dr. Cox said, "My philosophy of care includes listening to the patient, educating the patient and collaborating with the patient to develop the best treatment plan for them."
5. Dr. Cox will treat patients in the greater South Cobb, Ga., area including Austell, Lithia Springs, Mableton and Smyrna.
