Jackson, Wyo.-based St. John's Medical Center opened a Marshall Steele-modeled spine center, according to Jackson Hole News & Guide.
1. The Peak Spine Center hopes to align with top nationwide practices.
2. The new surgical program will incorporate protocol established by Marshall Steele, MD, a consultant on Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stryker Orthopedics' advisory board.
3. The new model standardizes preoperative patient education and postoperative care.
4. A Marshall Steele model was also used to design the Peak Joint Replacement Center.
5. Peak Spine Center medical director Chris Hills, MD, said in the report, "We are changing the way people think about and experience surgery."
