Out with AHCA — Speaker Paul Ryan pulls plug on GOP healthcare bill

Practice Management

CNN reports House Republicans pulled the American Health Care Act.

Here are four key insights:

1. House Speaker Paul Ryan again canceled a vote on the ACA replacement bill, set for today. He informed fellow Republicans they do not have “plans to try again,” as reported by The New York Times.

2. Speaker Ryan met with President Donald Trump to relay that they did not possess enough votes for passage of the bill.

3. President Trump told NYT he places blame on the Democrats, and not Speaker Ryan, for the bill’s failure.

4. CNN reports moderate Republicans as well as Freedom Caucus members do not support the bill.
