Medscape asked 15,000-plus physicians across 29 specialties about their experiences with burnout and depression.
Forty-two percent of the physicians reported they have experienced burnout. In terms of depression, 12 percent reported colloquial (feeling down) depression and 3 percent noted clinical (severe) depression.
