Arthrex presented Peter Millett, MD, with the 2018 Orthopedic Technology & Innovation Forum Research Award for his research improving patient outcomes.

1. Dr. Millett's research focuses on joint preservation, complex rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilization and throwing injuries in athletes.
2. As the director of shoulder surgery at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., Dr. Millet has authored more than 200 peer reviewed, scientific articles and four books on orthopedics, sports medicine and shoulder surgery.
3. Dr. Millett is a member of The Steadman Philippon Research Institute's scientific advisory board. He pioneered the comprehensive arthroscopic management procedure and developed a double-row repair technique.
4. The Arthrex award evaluates a physician's clinically significant contributions to the field, conceptual framework, methodological approach and interpretation of findings.
