Orthopedic surgeon John Warbritton, MD, is suspended from participating in California's workers' compensation system following sexual and unprofessional misconduct, according to .

Here are four key notes:

 

1. Last year, Dr. Warbritton was stripped of his medical license for sexual misconduct and unprofessional conduct. The California Medical Board investigated allegations of Dr. Warbritton sexually harassing two of his patients.

 

2. Complaints filed against Dr. Warbritton allege in 2009 he engaged with a female patient referred to him through her insurance provider inappropriately. The complaint goes on to allege the orthopedic surgeon used inappropriate comments and in appropriate advances.

 

3. Dr. Warbritton is also facing felony criminal charges for allegedly transporting child pornography.

 

4. Along with Dr. Warbritton, the Division of Workers' Compensation added 19 other medical providers to its suspended list, bringing the total to 197.
