EvergreenHealth recently opened its Neuroscience, Spine & Orthopedic Institute in Kirkland, Wash., according to K5 News.

1. The new hospital incorporates an integrated approach between neurosurgeons, spine surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, radiologist and physical therapy experts to benefit patient outcomes.
2. Physicians are incentivized to collaborate on a single case. For example, a spine surgeon will work with a neurologist to determine the best treatment plan.
3. The institute's goal is to eliminate the need for a patient to travel from physician to physician to receive care. Rather, the physicians can work together to deliver the patient care.
4. The Neuroscience, Spine & Orthopedic Institute's multi-disciplinary team is made up of nearly 25 physicians who meet regularly.
