ORHub, a physician-driven digital software company focused on smart data and analytics, is partnering with Hoag Orthopedic Institute to expand its resource management software application.

1. The initial application was developed for spine surgery, but now includes hip and knee, cardiovascular and neurological procedures.
2. The platform has captured data from more than 4,000 surgical procedures and the data granularity can provide insight into procedural measures, device use and other key performance analytics.
3. The ORHub solution for HOI was developed under the Microsoft Azure platform to achieve compliance with data security protocol and HIPAA. "We believe this is a testament to the power of our real-time smart analytics capture at this point of care in delivering valuable clinical decisions," said ORHub CEO Colt Melby.
4. ORHub can provide real-time surgical analytics for the hospital, patient, government and medical device vendor. The company has offices in four cities across the U.S., including Newport Beach, Calif.
5. HOI has used the analytics tool to drive clinical decision making, improve inventory management and create efficiencies in spinal surgery.
