Durham, N.C.-based EmergeOrtho will break ground on an ambulatory surgery center in Leland, N.C., July 26, WilmingtonBiz reports.
Here are four things to know:
1. The ASC will be the first dedicated orthopedic surgery center in Brunswick County, N.C.
2. The three-story, 55,578-square-foot building will include one operating room and two procedure rooms on the first floor. The second floor will contain orthopedic examination and treatment rooms, and the third floor will feature pain management and physical therapy services.
3. According to EmergeOrtho CEO Stephen DiBiasi, the new ASC will create at least 25 jobs.
4. In August 2016, four orthopedic practices across North Carolina merged to form EmergeOrtho, which now has 49 offices in 21 counties across the state.
