Medical City Dallas (Texas) opened a Scoliosis & Advanced Spine Center, as well as Medical City Children's Hospital Orthopedics & Spine. Both facilities are based in Dallas.
Here are three details to know:
1. The centers are led by spine surgeons Richard Hostin, MD, Shyam Kishan, MD, and Ioannis Alexander Avramis, MD.
2. The centers will treat scoliosis deformities and perform revision and complex spine surgeries.
3. Dr. Avramis will continue his research into studying graft material, investigating a MRSA vaccine, exploring ways to prevent postsurgical deformities and analysis of preoperative evaluations to predict good outcomes.
