Lehigh Valley Health Network acquired Bethlehem, Pa.-based Coordinated Health, in a move that caused current Coordinated Health CEO Emil DiIorio to leave the company, The Morning Call reports.

What you should know:

1. Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network stated it would acquire Coordinated Health in September.

2. Amy Nyberg will take over as Coordinated Health's president.

3. The merger boosts Lehigh's orthopedic medicine presence. The system now has the most fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine specialists in the region.

4. Current Coordinated Health patients will continue to see their care provider at the same locations.
