MD West One in Omaha, Neb., will welcome nine orthopedic and spine surgeons in March, according to a report in the World-Herald.
Four things to know:
1. The nine surgeons are part of Methodist Physicians Clinic Orthopedics, also in Omaha, and will continue performing surgery in the same locations after they join MD West One.
2. The two groups have had a longstanding relationship and will make that formalized in the coming months. The groups hope the move will improve quality and reduce costs.
3. The combined group will include 23 orthopedic surgeons and nine neurosurgeons.
4. MD West One also plans to open an orthopedic urgent care at Methodist HealthWest at the beginning of March.
