Practice Management

Here are five spine and orthopedic partnerships that Becker's Spine Review has reported on in the past month:

AcelRX Pharmaceuticals collaborated with Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston to study the perioperative use of DSUVIA in the analgesic regimen for spine surgery.

Life Spine partnered with Gizmo Medical March 23 to produce surgical masks and gowns to meet the growing demand in the U.S.

OrthoAtlanta and Atlanta-based Piedmont Orthopedics opened a new facility in Newnan, Ga. The orthopedic and sports medicine practice relocated from a smaller facility to meet a growing demand.

Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health partnered with San Francisco-based Carrum Health to expand orthopedic services at two of its hospitals. The initiative aims to help self-insured employers lower healthcare costs and improve clinical outcomes.

The National Athletic Trainers' Association teamed with mobile per-diem platform Go4Ellis to connect athletic trainers with understaffed healthcare facilities amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Facilities in need of medical staff can use the free app to gain immediate access to athletic trainers.
