University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City and Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health on June 1 opened an inpatient rehabilitation hospital for patients with spinal cord injuries and complex orthopedic conditions, CBS2 Iowa reports.
Three things to know:
1. University of Iowa Health Network Rehabilitation Hospital in Coralville features 40 beds and 24-hour nursing care.
2. The facility will also provide care for patients suffering from strokes, brain injuries and amputations.
3. Physicians from UI Health Care will provide oversight at the hospital.
