The group expects to open the location Feb. 1. In addition to clinical space, the office will house an OrthoDirect location. OrthoDirect provides same-day care for new, nonemergent musculoskeletal injuries.
University Orthopedics will provide a range of services including sports medicine, general orthopedics, spine surgery and pain management.
Thirteen physicians will see patients at the location.
Edward Akelman, MD, practice president, said: "Patients will no longer have to drive into Boston or Rhode Island to receive world-class care. It will be available just a short distance from their homes."
