Spine surgeon David Holte, MD, has stepped down as president of the board of directors of Twin Cities Orthopedics after 19 years in the role, according to a Feb. 1 news release.
Under Dr. Holte's leadership, the Golden Valley, Minn.-based group has grown to include more than 35 locations and 1,500 employees. He was instrumental in securing Twin Cities' partnership with the Minnesota Vikings in 2016, which helped the practice become a household name.
Total joint specialist Owen O'Neill, MD, who has been on the board of directors since 2009, was named as Dr. Holte's successor.
Dr. O'Neill helped develop Twin Cities' value-based care initiatives, including its Excel Surgery & Recovery program, which has treated more than 5,000 patients.
