Lawrence-based OrthoKansas recently strengthened its robotic portfolio and is standing out as a destination for joint replacement procedures.
The Joint Commission has provided OrthoKansas, part of LMH Health, with its Gold Seal of Approval for advanced total hip and knee replacement. LMH Health is the second hospital in Kansas to earn the designation, according to an April 13 news release.
"This certification is a culmination of the work over the four years I've been here and building on the foundation that Dr. [Richard] Wendt laid for us," Adam Goodyear, MD, LMH Health chief of surgery said. "As an accredited total joint replacement program, patients can feel confident that they are treated with the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices that result in superior outcomes."
LMH Health's orthopedics program includes two Mako robots — Stryker's innovative technologies designed to assist surgeons performing hip and knee replacements.
