Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its most recent location in Mansfield, Mass., WickedLocal.com reported May 3.
Providers at the center provide the full spectrum of orthopedic care, including spine surgery, hip and knee, sports medicine, and pediatric orthopedic care.
Thirteen physicians are seeing patients at the facility, which also features an OrthoDirect center that provides same-day care for new, nonemergent musculoskeletal injuries.
Earlier this year, University Orthopedics teamed with Easton, Mass.-based Orthopedic Care Physician Network to become one of the biggest orthopedic groups in New England when the partnership takes effect July 1.
The partnership will include more than 60 physicians, almost 650 staff and 13 locations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
