Rezin Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Joliet, Ill., is now affiliated with Morris (Ill.) Hospital, according to the local news station WSPY News.
The practice's founder, Kevin Rezin, MD, told WSPY the group has considered merging with a health system for the last few years. The five-physician group had an existing relationship with Morris Hospital.
The affiliation was completed June 1, and Morris Hospital now manages the practice, which changed its name to Morris Hospital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
