Rothman Orthopaedic Institute partnered with Aetna, a CVS Health company, for in-network care in Florida, effective June 1.
The organizations' "shared focus on value-based care" intends to reduce unnecessary cost of care and improve patient access, quality and outcomes, Alexander Vaccaro, MD, PhD, Rothman Orthopaedics president said in a June 22 news release.
"Expanding our relationship also helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for our members who can now utilize Rothman Orthopaedics through our network of participating providers," said Amy Lee, vice president, chief network and operating officer of Aetna Florida.
The Philadelphia-based practice has a long-standing relationship with Aetna in the Northeast, and has strengthened that relationship as part of its expansion into Central Florida.
Rothman Orthopaedics also contracted with Cigna for in-network value-based care in Florida.
