Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute is tapping into the Florida market through a partnership with Orlando-based AdventHealth.
The agreement is Rothman's first expansion outside of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, where it is partnered with Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health and New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health.
Here are two payers the practice partnered with in June as part of its Florida expansion:
1. Rothman contracted with Cigna for in-network value-based care in Florida. The group had a longstanding relationship with Cigna prior to this new deal, which gives Cigna members in-network care at Rothman facilities.
2. Rothman also partnered with Aetna for in-network care in Florida. The partnership aims to reduce unnecessary cost of care and improve patient access, quality and outcomes, according to Alexander Vaccaro, MD, PhD, president of Rothman Orthopaedics.
